Aimen's Journey: How One Teenager's Struggle with Skin Issues Inspired Her to Create a More Inclusive Beauty Space

During her teenage years, Aimen identified a deficiency within the beauty industry. She struggled to find products tailored to her unique skin requirements, prompting her mission to establish a more comprehensive, diverse, and inclusive beauty space.

To bring her vision of Folksie to life, the founder enlisted the help of established chemists in the industry. With the guidance of Akshay Talati, a mentor with a shared South Asian background, she was able to tailor her ideas for the brand. This partnership gives us an advantage, as Akshay recognizes the challenges and issues faced by people with colored skin tones. His empathy and understanding align perfectly with our brand's mission.
